LACMA Offers Diverse Art Collections To Challenge Your Thinking

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art brings together more than 150,000 works spanning the history and geography of art from ancient times to the present. Be among the one million visitors a year who peruse carefully curated collections from the likes of Mapplethorpe and Picasso, Take in a feature film or enjoy a live concert performance within the expansive galleries and public spaces. This LA landmark dominates more than 20 acres of Hancock Park in the heart of the city.

  • What are the must-see works at LACMA?

    LACMA is proud to offer an ever-changing collection of featured exhibits. Currently on display you will find diverse collections including Picasso and his Printers, Japanese Prints and Photographs, Royal Hawaiian Featherwork and Robert Mapplethorpe. Future exhibits include Guillermo del Toro: At Home With Monsters, Beyond Bling: Jewelry from the Lois Boardman Collection and Alternative Dreams: 17th-Century Chinese Paintings.
  • How Can I Get To LACMA Using Public Transportation?

    Forget driving. It is easy and convenient to get to LACMA by subway or bus. Metro 20 & 720 on Wilshire, along with 217, 218 and 780 on Fairfax all stop within one-half block of the museum. You can check the metro website for bus and subway maps or call 323-GoMetro (323-466-3876) to plan.
